I Heart France

God bless those cheese eating, cigarette smoking, xenophobic French.  Because they voted "Non!" to the European Union constitution, the euro has fallen.  Now I couldn't care less about European Union politics or the French but what I do care about is the exchange rate. Now Poland doesn't use the euro, it uses the zloty but we have to pay for our apartment in euro.  Let me tell you, they aren't exactly giving apartments away in Cracow so we could be saving a chunk of change based on the dollar to euro exchange.

That's Hot

It has been 90 degrees in Cracow the past two days. It better cool down quick because Cracola and I's super duper luxury apartment of Polishness has no air conditioning.

Let's Talk Shop

Listen, they don't call me cracow_couture for nothing. I love, love, love, L-O-V-E to shop. Especially shoes. Wonderful, glorious shoes. I could spend all day lost in the Nordstrom's shoe department, trying on shoes, buy shoes, fondling shoes... I want to name my firstborn Jimmy Choo followed by his second but no less fabulous brother Manolo.

I figured since I was going to Cracow and will be walking everywhere since Cracola has disappeared without learning how to drive a stick, I needed to buy some new shoes for walking and break them in here.

These are the first pair I bought. They are too cute. I mean they have whales on them! Whales!

These are the second pair I bought. They are a highly practical pair of Michael Kors stilettos, perfect for tackling the cobblestone streets of Cracow.

A Little Light Reading

I bought a book on Cracow. Well it is more of a pamphlet really, lots of glossy pictures not too much in the way of content. Still, even with the pictures and small sentences with small words, I got bored about a quarter of the way into it and took a nap.

Cracola is a very mysterious girl.  So mysterious, in fact, that there are no known pictures of her.  Except one.

It is a beautiful day in DC today and an equally beautiful day in Cracow where the temperature is a loverly 82 degrees.

Poland, as a Diet

Listen to me, all ye who are considering law school, law school will make you fat. It is like a scientific fact or something.

Some people get fat in law school because they eat their emotions and they are so stressed out they eat and eat and eat until they explode. I got fat in law school because I was (am) so bored in class that I eat...out of boredom. Cracola and I tried to bring low fat and healthy snacks to class to try and ebb the slow tide of weight gain but that was useless because when I got home from school I would just order Wing Zone. Or Papa Johns. Or Pizza Hut. You get the point.

So with the lack of eating options in P-land and the fact that we will we walking everywhere, we have to lose some weight this summer. That's like a scientific fact or something as well. The above picture is a fairly recent picture of me. The below picture is what I will look like when I get back from Poland.

So I get alot (okay, not alot) of emails asking if I can post a pic or talk a little about myself. So for all you fans (all 5 of you) here is the cracow_couture FAQ:

1.Will you show us your boobs? No, quit asking.
2.What is your real name? Uhhhh, cracow_couture. Although in some parts of the world it may be spelled krakow_kouture
3.Where do you live? I'm currently between homes. But the nomad life suits me, I have nice luggage.
4.What do you do for fun? Hahaha, you think that an evening law student with a full time job has time for fun? Hahaha, you're funny. Really.
5.Hey, when are you going to Poland already? Soon. I have to fatten up first.
